Motherwort was thought to be traditionally used such as in encouraging labor when applied topically, but has so many other wonderful attributes that help with anxiety, and nervous conditions. It is called the "Lion hearted" because it can bring you strength, joy and the feelings of being brave when one is suffering with anxieties of life. It also is cherished for its qualities as a bitter, and calming digestive aid.

This ideally prepared tincture of Milky oats is harvested at the prime of their short window in growing when the seed pod of the oat plant start to get milky when squeezed. This stage is the ideal time to harvest the seed heads for it's nervine properties, calming and fortifying or balancing to nervous system function. My personal favorite way to prepare and consume the benefits of Elderberries, this shrub is made with fresh elderberries foraged right outside our valley here in Montana. This shrub is a slightly sweet with honey and vinegar preparation that is also infused with rose hip and a little cinnamon. Great for stimulating the immune system to keep those colds and flu's at bay, but also wonderful for enriching the body with antioxidants and lots of vitamin c.
I love to mix this shrub into bubbly drinks, or just take by the spoonful. Yum!

This delicious herbal salt is one of my favorite salts to make because of it's incredible flavor and versatility. Made from coriander berries that grow from the cilantro plant. The flavor is more complex and different than just straight cilantro, and instead has a floral perfume like taste and smell.
