I was so excited to make this soap, I am a huge lover of Marshmallow, no not the spongy white things we roast over fires, though those are delicious, but I am talking about Marshmallow, Althaea officinalis, the delicious and beautiful herb.

On top of Marshmallow which is a demulcent, creating thick gelatinous infusions that sooth the skin, another wonderful demulcent friend for the skin is rice. I soaked and fermented the rice slightly in some goat milk.

Trust me, try it before you knock it.

Something about this blend ended up being so creamy, and making a really nice bar that is known for soothing irritated skin, reducing inflammation, tightening pore and so many more skin benefits of these two plants.

I then mixed it with ylang ylang EO, Jasmine and Vetiver. The ylang ylang and jasmine make such a beautiful sweet, floral and soft smell. I love this combination.

Finished off with some swirled in French green clay, and topped with marshmallow leaves. This is a beautiful and simple bar.

Enjoy!
