Custom Breastmilk Soap Loaf
Have you ever wondered one of the ways you could use extra breast milk you might have stored in your freezer? Well that is how this little business began it's journey in soap making.
I had a mixed situation with breastfeeding and spent a lot of my time exclusively pumping for my son until he was able to figure out breastfeeding directly from my breasts. I had a bunch of extra frozen bags of breast milk that I didn't know what to do with and that I couldn't donate locally.
So that is when the idea, to learn to make some soap, came into my life and now it has turned into a whole beautiful business of using herbs and flowers I grow on the farm to make beautiful natural soaps. Even though I have grown, it all started with my breast milk.
Now I offer the chance for you to enjoy a custom made loaf, made with your own beautiful breast milk. This is such a beautiful gift to yourself and all the hard work and connection you have made in this breastfeeding journey. It also is a really special and sentimental gift from your body to give to friends and family.
Breast milk has many skin benefits, and can be a great addition to soap to add extra moisture and essential nutrients to your skin.
This loaf will be made with 7-8oz of your breast milk that you can offer. Shipping or dropping off locally frozen is best. Make sure you connect with me first before shipping, you will receive an email.
Choose your oil base, you can choose from:
-plant based: coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil and shea butter
-beef tallow: made with 100% local beef tallow
-pig tallow and olive oil : made with our farm raised lard and organic olive oil

Pick your other ingredients such as herbs, essential oils, natural colorants. I will send you a list to choose from. It is best to keep simple and not add too many things otherwise they get lost, or it gets too fussy or stinky.
Examples of different options: french green clay, pink clay, activated charcoal powder, lavender essential oil, calendula infusion, cottonwood infusion, eucalyptus essential oil, chamomile oil, flowers on top, or other herbal/floral decorations.
*the best soaps in my opinions are the ones with simple ingredients added, less is more kind of thing. You can also opt out of any additions and just stick to the simple breast milk and oil base.

Find a date to drop off or ship your milk to me. You will need to make sure it is frozen to start and it should be just fine!

Once I get your breast milk and I start on your custom loaf, I will then cut the soap the next day after making it. It will need to cure 3-4 weeks before I can send you the soaps back because they need to fully cure. Then it will be a great time to let me know of any custom labels you want to make, etc.
Loaf= 10 full size bars of soap most being 4 oz, a couple a little larger
You can only order 1 full loaf, you can't order individual bars. This is a way for you to enjoy your breast milk benefits for long and in bulk quantity. 10 bars of soap usually last for at least 1 year worth of washing. My soaps last a couple years and has a great prolonged shelf life as long as they are stored in a dry and room temperature environment.
